To mark the 300^th anniversary of the birth of Maria Theresa of Austria, the Magazzino delle Idee in Trieste presents the exhibition Maria Teresa e Trieste. A fresh, original perspective on the history and culture of the city and its port, a cocktail of history, customs and society – dedicated to Trieste and the singular role which Maria Theresa of Austria played in the urban, social, political and cultural development of the city, laying the foundation for its current urban layout. The exhibition is organised by ERPaC (the Regional body for the cultural heritage of Friuli Venezia Giulia), the service for promotion and development of the area, in collaboration with the Museums of Friuli Venezia Giulia and Trieste University. The exhibition falls under the umbrella of the project Una donna è Trieste, promoted by the major institutions of the city.

In occasione del trecentesimo anniversario della nascita di Maria Teresa d’Austria, dal 7 ottobre 2017 al 18 febbraio 2018 il Magazzino delle Idee a Trieste presenta la mostra Maria Teresa e Trieste. Storia e culture della città e del suo porto, attraverso un percorso inedito – tra storia, costume e società – dedicato a Trieste e allo straordinario ruolo che Maria Teresa d’Austria ebbe nello sviluppo urbano, sociale, politico e culturale della città, tracciandone il destino contemporaneo. La mostra è organizzata da ERPaC (Ente regionale per il patrimonio culturale del Friuli Venezia Giulia), Servizio promozione, valorizzazione e sviluppo del territorio, in collaborazione con il Polo Museale del Friuli Venezia Giulia e l’Università di Trieste. L’esposizione rientra nel progetto Una donna è Trieste, voluto dalle più importanti Istituzioni della città.
